Twenty-six Canadian tech startups have been selected to join the 2020 48Hrs in the Valley program, hosted by C100, an organization that helps Canadian startups find connections in the Bay Area.

48Hrs in the Valley gives a select group of Canadian entrepreneurs access to networking, mentoring, and business growth opportunities in Silicon Valley. The event was scheduled to be held on May 20 to 21 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, C100 is postponing the event to October 6 and 7.

“48Hrs in the Valley is at the center of C100’s mission of supporting, inspiring, and connecting the most promising Canadian entrepreneurial leaders, and we could not be more pleased to include these founders in our community,” said Laura Buhler, executive director of the C100.

“We are keenly aware of the challenges many of these founders will face over the next three to six months and know that through our larger community we can make meaningful connections to peers, mentors, and partners to help navigate these uncertain times,” Buhler added.

The 26 startups selected this year were nominated by current C100 members as well as alumni of the 48Hrs program. The startups in this cohort were selected from 130 applications. The participating startups span SaaS, FinTech, healthtech, e-commerce, and cleantech sectors. Alumni of the 48Hrs program include Sonder, Clearbanc, Koho, Mejuri, and Drop.

C100 plans to continue to connect its members and the ecosystem through virtual roundtables and mentoring sessions in order to abide by government rules on social distancing during the pandemic.
